In 2013 he was named Managing Editor Commercial.

Jens frequently appears on radio and TV to comment on industry matters. In 2003, he received the Hugo Junkers Award of the German aviation press for his coverage of Fairchild Dornier’s bankruptcy. He was named the country’s top travel and air transport writer by the Travel Industry Club three times. Jens graduated from the Munich School of Journalism.

Thomas Cook AG expects to return to profitability in Fiscal Year 2005 after three straight years of significant losses. Europe's second-largest tourism group will likely achieve a EUR10 million-15 million (US$13.1 million-$19.6 million) net profit in the year ending Sept. 30, says CFO Officer Heinz-Ludger Heuberg. He also predicted revenues would increase 3%-4%.

Lufthansa and Netjets are expected to announce a cooperation agreement that will see the link-up of scheduled services and executive jet flights. The two companies scheduled a news conference for Wednesday at Munich's international airport. Though both companies declined further comment about the deal in advance, Lufthansa Chairman and CEO Wolfgang Mayrhuber and Netjets CEO Richard Santulli are expected to attend.

The Austrian Airlines Group will expand its network by several new destinations as part of its new summer schedule. Austrian will fly five times weekly to Mumbai, starting in September, increasing its capacity in an already sizeable Asian network. Austrian will add flights to the Middle East with the start of four weekly flights to Alexandria, Egypt. The airline also resumes flights to Amman, Jordan, four times per week.
