In 2013 he was named Managing Editor Commercial.

Jens frequently appears on radio and TV to comment on industry matters. In 2003, he received the Hugo Junkers Award of the German aviation press for his coverage of Fairchild Dornier’s bankruptcy. He was named the country’s top travel and air transport writer by the Travel Industry Club three times. Jens graduated from the Munich School of Journalism.

Airbus CEO Gustav Humbert tried to regain control over A350 communication yesterday in what became a public clash with EADS Co-CEO Noel Forgeard. Humbert described comments made by his colleagues in the French press as "not helpful" and indirectly accused Forgeard of breaking confidentiality agreements. Humbert insisted that a decision on the likely relaunch of the A350 long-haul jet has not yet been made.

Airbus will make a decision on design changes for the Airbus A350 by the time the Farnborough Air Show occurs in July, EADS Co-CEO Noel Forgeard said yesterday at the Berlin air show. "We have listened to some customer feedback, and we are on our way to make the final definition of the aircraft," Forgeard stated. He played down the financial implications of further investment in the A350, saying the Airbus cash flow was strong.
