India’s state-owned Hindustan Aeronautics Limited and French aerospace giant Safran have formed a joint venture to establish a dedicated helicopter engine support center catering to customers in India.

In a bid to strengthen strategic partnerships with its main allies, Russia has agreed to supply the S-400 Triumph, its most advanced anti-aircraft defense system, to India, with deliveries starting in 2020.

India will launch Resourcesat 2A—the latest in a series of the country’s Earth observation satellites—in November, an attempt toward bolstering its weather prediction capabilities.
