A new National Civil Aviation Policy aims to bring India's fledgling aftermarket sector new investment and infrastructure.

India has increased its defense budget to 2.74 trillion rupees ($40.8 billion) for the fiscal year beginning April 1, an increase of about 6% over the previous year.

The aircraft would replace HAL’s Tejas on the navy’s 44,400-ton aircraft carrier, the INS Vikramaditya.
