NEW DELHI —India’s indigenous Light Combat Helicopter (LCH) is likely to enter into series production by year’s end. “The LCH is expected to receive the Initial Operational Clearance by the end of this year, and thereafter we will start series production of the twin-engine, dedicated combat helicopter [in the] 5.8-ton class,” says T. Suvarana Raju, chairman and managing director of state-owned Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd. (HAL).
