India finally has scrapped its long-delayed, contentious effort to buy 126 Rafale aircraft from Dassault.

The board of Air India has “approved dry leasing” of 19 Airbus A320 aircraft, according to Mahesh Sharma, India’s junior minister for civil aviation.

The company’s annual net loss has fallen by about 26% in the last three years as a result of the turnaround plan.
