Chen Chuanren is the Southeast Asia and China Editor for Aviation Week's Air Transport World magazine and the Asia-Pacific Defense Correspondent for Aviation Week.
Prior to joining the Aviation Week team in 2017, Chuanren was a regular serviceman in the Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) Air Defense and Operations Command. He now serves the RSAF Air Force Information Center as a reservist. He holds a Bachelor of Mass Communications as well as a Diploma in Mechatronics (Aerospace).
The government of Philippine province Cavite has canceled the $10 billion Sangley Point International Airport project that involved a consortium of China Communications Construction Co (CCCC) and Manila-based MacroAsia Corp.
The Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China (COMAC) will reportedly hand over the first C919 narrowbody airliner to its first client by the end of 2021, according to COMAC general engineer Yang Zhigang.
