Chen Chuanren is the Southeast Asia and China Editor for Aviation Week's Air Transport World magazine and the Asia-Pacific Defense Correspondent for Aviation Week.
Prior to joining the Aviation Week team in 2017, Chuanren was a regular serviceman in the Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) Air Defense and Operations Command. He now serves the RSAF Air Force Information Center as a reservist. He holds a Bachelor of Mass Communications as well as a Diploma in Mechatronics (Aerospace).
Singapore’s ministry of defense has confirmed that the U.S. Air Force sent the Northrop Grumman RQ-4 Global Hawk on a “short-term deployment” to the island.
