Bradley Perrett covered China, Japan, South Korea and Australia. He is a Mandarin-speaking Australian.
Before joining Aviation Week in 2006 he was a macroeconomics, politics and aerospace journalist with Reuters. Perrett holds a bachelor’s degree in law from Macquarie University, Sydney. He left Aviation Week in 2020.
Aero Engine Corp. of China (AECC) aims at achieving certification for its engine for the COMAC C919 narrowbody airliner in 2027, said an industry source close to the company.
The facility will supplement Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport, which has a designed capacity of 60 million passengers a year and is being expanded to 80 million; in 2017 it handled 65.8 million.
