Thai Airways will increase its capital by 10 billion baht with an issue of new shares, following approval by shareholders. The carrier is majority-owned by the Thai government.
composite parts specialist CTRM is investing in new technology to position itself for future airliner programs while securing its competitiveness in the short term. “Goodrich would like to set up CTRM as a center of excellence for the nacelle composites,” says CTRM CEO Rosdi Mahmud. “For the next-generation narrowbodies we are going to move with our strategic partners—Spirit Aerosystems and Goodrich,” he says.
China will supply aircraft worth about $300 million to a new Venezuelan airline under an agreement signed by Avic International, the export branch of the Chinese aircraft-making conglomerate Avic. Avic International says it will supply 33 aircraft, including Y12Es utility transports.
