Arie was born in Israel and served in the Israeli Defense Forces. He graduated from Tel Aviv University with a degree in political science and journalism. Later, he worked as a defense correspondent for Israel’s largest daily newspaper Yedioth Ahronot. He is the editor-in-chief of the Israeli homeland security website I-HLS.
As part of preparations for a full-scale intercept test with the Arrow-3 ballistic missile defense system to be performed in Alaska, Israel and the U.S. have tested the missile over the Mediterranean.
