British Aiways welcomes biggest and smallest aircraft
British Airways' two newest fleet members are the airline's largest and smallest. BA took delivery of its fourth of 12 Airbus A380s, which will all be delivered by 2016, and a new A320, which will provide short-haul service to destinations across Europe. Airbus celebrates 40th anniversary of first aircraft
Airbus celebrated the 40th anniversary of the entry into service of its first aircraft—the A300B—operated by Air France as the launch customer. The A300B was the world’s first twin-engine widebody. Starting in 1974, 878 A300/A310 family aircraft have been manufactured. More than 400 of these aircraft are still in service with 65 customers.
