Thomas Cook to lease de-militarized AirTanker A330
The UK arm of European charter airline Thomas Cook is set to lease a de-militarized Airbus A330 tanker from the AirTanker consortium.
AirTanker, which owns and operates the A330 Voyager Multi-Role Tanker Transports (MRTTs) for the UK Royal Air Force, has signed a letter of intent with Thomas Cook for an initial three-year leasing deal to remove military equipment and install a new interior in the A330. Thomas Cook to lease de-militarized tanker jets

Lion Group's first A320 rolls out of paint shop
Lion Group’s first Airbus A320 has rolled out of the paint shop hangar in Toulouse, France. The aircraft will be delivered in the third quarter and will be operated by Lion Group’s full service unit Batik Air on its growing domestic and regional network. Emirates cancels Airbus A350 XWB order
Emirates Airline is canceling its order for 70 A350 XWB aircraft, Airbus announced June 11. The order of 50 A350-900s and 20 A350-1000s was originally placed in 2007 with first delivery slots scheduled from 2019.

New Serbian charter carrier launched
Air Serbia has launched a new charter subsidiary, Aviolet. Air New Zealand buys Airbus A320neos
Air New Zealand signed a firm order for 13 Airbus A320 family neo aircraft and one A320ceo in Doha on the eve of the 70th IATA AGM. The order, valued at $1.6 billion at list prices, marks the first time Air New Zealand has bought the A321 and the neo, although the airline first ordered A320s in 2009. The deal, signed by CEO Christopher Luxon June 1, is for one A320ceo, 10 A320neos and three A321neos. The ceo will be delivered in 2015 while the neos will be delivered between 2017 and 2019. Delta orders 15 more Airbus A321s
Delta Air Lines has placed an order for 15 Airbus A321ceo aircraft for delivery from 2018 to replace older narrowbodies due for retirement.
Delta has also selected CFM International CFM56 engines for the new aircraft, all of which will have fuel-saving sharklet wingtips and many of which will be delivered from Airbus’ brand-new A320 family assembly line under construction in Mobile, Alabama.
