All Nippon Reports Higher Annual Profits, Record Passenger Figures

All Nippon Airways posted a 3.9 billion yen (US$31.4 million) net profit for fiscal 1996-97, up 26.6%, despite sharply higher fuel costs and a weak Japanese yen. Although ANA projected revenues of 880 billion yen, revenue came in above the estimate, up 4.9% to 887.4 billion yen ($7.15 billion)...
