Airbus rolls out the A300

Caption, December 1995: Airbus Industrie's first aircraft, the A300B, was rolled out on 28th September 1972, and first flew exactly one month later, on 28th October 1972. It was the world's first widebody twin-engined aircraft and, for eight years, had a market niche to itself, allowing Airbus Industrie to become established. The A300 continues in service today, while its A310 and A300-600 derivatives are still being built. In the 25 years since its formation in December of 1970, Airbus Industrie has gone from just one-product to offering a comprehensive family of aircraft that is the most modern in the world, and from having only one client to some 120 customers.
