Poll: Are you in favor of accepting a voucher for your canceled flight?

IATA is pushing for broad adoption of travel vouchers in place of requiring airlines to refund passengers when flights are canceled during the COVID-19 crisis.

IATA warned that the refunds are a potential liability for the industry of up to $35 billion in the second quarter alone. If all customers were to use the refund option in that time, the industry would burn up to $61 billion in cash within the next three months.

And any goodwill the airlines enjoy now should be remembered the next time they're planning to rush you another buck for a bag or a drink, when they return to health. They won't remember, of course.....they never do. They just whine when like a profligate teenager they spend all their cash on dividends and stock only to come begging for more money when things get tough.
