Yemen gives green light to Queen Bilqis Airways proposal

The Yemeni government of Prime Minister Ahmed bin Dagher has given its consent to the formal establishment of Queen Bilqis Airways, a privately-owned start-up that has been on the drawing boards for the past three years, reports ch-aviation.

Al Araby news quotes government sources as saying the airline, owned by an unspecified Yemeni national, will break the monopoly Yemenia currently has on flights into and out of Yemen.
