Wataniya stranded passengers get help from Jazeera and Kuwait Airways
Wataniya Airways announced yesterday that passengers stranded in Dubai, Beirut, Cairo, with return tickets to Kuwait can use their tickets to fly on Jazeera Airways and Kuwait Airways.
The airlines offered to help Wataniya Airways after it ceased operations on Sunday.
Abdulsalam Al Bahar, chairman and managing director of Wataniya Airways said: "We would like to convey our gratitude to our friends and colleagues at Jazeera Airways and Kuwait Airways for their swift efforts to offer help to Wataniya Airways guests abroad.
“I have already spoken to Marwan Boodai, chairman of Jazeera Airways and Hamad Al Falah, chairman of Kuwait Airways, who have offered their assistance right away and for that we are grateful especially at such a crucial time for our company. I ask our guests to continue monitoring our website wataniyaairways.com for the latest updates on the company's situation."
Wataniya Airways ticket holders who are currently out of Kuwait wishing to return should visit any Kuwait Airways or Jazeera Airways ticketing counter at the airport and present a printed copy of their ticket to get on the next available flight. Rebooking will be free but subject to availability of seats on the flights.
