Wataniya Airways to serve Cairo

Start-up luxury airline Wataniya Airways will add Cairo to its destinations from March 3.

The airline started operating on Januray 24 and flies to Dubai twice daily. Wataniya said that once the next aircraft arrives it can start the Cairo service and that it expects to have confirmed Bahrain and Beirut as destinations.

“Our event today is an acknowledgement of the strong Kuwaiti-Egyptian bilateral relations which have been instrumental in allowing us to negotiate this route amidst competition for the ever popular slots at Cairo airport," said Abdul Salam Al Bahar, chairman and managing director of Wataniya Airways.
