Virgin and Etihad share the Mid East Freddies awards
Frequent flyers around the world have rated their favourite airline programmes leading to the award of a "Freddie" - the industry Oscar - for the very best. And Virgin and Etihad shared the main spoils in the categories for the Middle East and Africa.
Presented in Fort Lauderdale, the Freddie for the best Europe/Middle East & Africa frequent flier programme went to Virgin Atlantic’s Flying Club.
The award for the best bonus promotion, the best member communications the best website and the best award redemption categories went to Etihad Airways Etihad Guest programme.
Virgin Atlantic also won the best customer service prize.
The award for best Europe/Middle East & Africa elite level programme went to Delta and the best affinity credit card Freddie went to Lufthansa Miles & More credit card.
The Freddies are names after the legendary British aviatior, the late Sir Freddie Laker who was the pioneer of low-cost airlines
