UAE and Sudan sign an open air services MoU

The UAE has signed an open Air Services Memorandum of Understanding with Sudan in Khartoum today.

The MoU was signed by H.E Saif Mohammed Al Suwaidi, Director General of the UAE General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) and Mohammed Abdel Aziz Ahmad, Director General of Sudan Civil Aviation Authority.

The MoU allows for the operation of any capacities, numbers of frequencies and types of aircraft, whether owned or leased, that are operated by the designated Airlines of each country in any type of service (passenger or cargo) on the routes between Sudan and the UAE. It includes, in addition to the third and fourth freedoms, the practice of full fifth freedom traffic rights. Also both delegations agreed to allow unrestricted non-scheduled operations for private charters between the two countries.
