Turkish Airlines joins AACO
Turkish Airlines has joined the Arab Air Carriers Organisation (AACO) as a Partner Airline, providing the Arab airlines members of AACO and Turkish Airlines with opportunities for creating synergies through the various joint projects that AACO has established over the years and enabling access to its event and publications.
As it prepares for its Partner Airline membership, Turkish Airlines intends to develop bilateral links with a number of AACO’s established partners, which includes some of the leading names in the airline industry. Turkish Airlines already operates code-share flights with AACO partners, Egyptair, Etihad Airways, Royal Air Maroc and Syrian Arab Airlines.
Turkish Airlines’ general manager Mr. Temel Kotil, Ph.D. said: “AACO is an important association for us to be incorporated into. I believe that this cooperation will provide great opportunities and will be beneficial for us and all the member airlines.”
Mr.Abdul Wahab Teffaha, secretary general of AACO said: “The Arab region and Turkey have been coupled by geography and by human relations for millennia. It is only natural that cooperation between the Arab airlines and Turkish Airlines continues to flourish. Turkish Airlines is already a great partner to the Arab airlines and now will become a great partner to AACO itself. AACO is proud that Turkish Airlines has chosen to be a Partner Airline.”
Turkish Airlines will participate in AACO's Annual General Meeting - one of the most important aviation events in the Arab world - which highlights and discusses high level industry issues.
Turkish Airlines will be proud to contribute to AACO by sharing mutual experiences and knowledge with member airlines. By being a part of this important regional association, Turkish Airlines would not only aim to enhance existing benefits and develop new ones for its customers but also focus on creating new opportunities for the future between this region and the rest of the world.
