TACV secures loans from government
TACV has secured $11 million in loans from the Cape Verdian government following huge losses and legacy debts of CVE10 billion (USD97.46 million).
The loan will shore up the airline’s working capital whilst paying for aircraft repairs, ch-aviation reports.
Cape Verdean Prime Minister José Maria Neves has said that the government will continue to protect the carrier and its staff.
Despite announcing it was looking for strategic investors, the carrier has had no takers willing to commit.
