Skywise has announced two new appointments
Skywise has announced the appointment of Faizal Motlekar as co-chairperson and Tabassum Qadir as president of the airline.
Motlekar will be sharing the role with J. Malik, a role previously filled by Qadir.
Motlekar is a South African entrepreneur and founder of Motlekar Holdings.
“I am bringing to Skywise my vast experience with global perspectives in South African and African investment”, said Motlekar.
Qadir’s role as president of the airline coincides with South Africa’s debate of having a female president, answering demands for a woman in a leadership role.
Qadir said: “It’s essential for women to lead in major industries, and airlines play a key role in enhancing the growth of the domestic travel and tourism industry.”
