Singapore Changi Airport: Asia-Pacific’s Premier Gateway
Asia-Pacific continues to be a strategically important region for aviation amid a volatile global environment. At Changi Airport, we are committed to working closely with airline partners to leverage opportunities for growth. Changi Airport’s connectivity, world-class passenger experiences and facilities, coupled with Singapore's appeal as a tourist destination, make it an ideal choice for airlines seeking to expand their presence in the region and beyond.
A Hub Positioned for Growth
As one of Asia’s most connected international aviation hubs, Changi Airport links Singapore to over 170 cities globally through a network of 100 airlines. It actively collaborates with airlines to expand connectivity to both established and emerging secondary cities, enabling them to capture new market opportunities and respond to evolving travel demand across the region.
With a vision for long-term growth, Changi Airport remains anchored on strengthening operational resilience to enhance its value proposition as an air hub of choice. Through continued investments in infrastructure upgrades and technological innovations, Changi endeavours to better serve airlines now, and in the future. Among these is a major upgrade to Terminal 3 that is slated to commence from end-2026 to boost the airport’s handling capacity, while integrating technology and robotics to trial solutions ahead of scaling them for its new Terminal 5.
A Vision for the Future of Air Travel
Changi Airport Group (CAG) is confident that travel demand will continue to increase and the long-term outlook for the aviation sector will remain strong. Building Changi Airport’s future hub capacity will remain a key priority for CAG. Central to this effort is the Changi East development, anchored by the new Terminal 5, which will significantly expand the airport’s capacity and reinforce Singapore’s position as a leading global aviation hub. Designed to be mega yet cozy, the new terminal which broke ground in 2025 will be able to handle about 50 million passengers a year when it is operationally ready in the mid-2030s.
Singapore: A Vibrant Destination
Singapore, a vibrant metropolis and cultural melting pot, offers dynamic experiences for every traveller. Its appeal as a tourist destination plays a crucial role in driving passenger demand.
Iconic attractions like Jewel Changi Airport have transformed the airport experience, making Changi Airport a destination in itself. With the stunning Jewel Rain Vortex, and a diverse range of offerings from aviation facilities to play attractions as well as retail and dining, Jewel has captivated millions of travellers.
Ongoing developments across the city-state continue to strengthen Singapore’s position as a leading destination for both leisure and business travellers. Looking ahead, an integrated cruise and ferry terminal and a new Downtown MICE Hub is currently being planned near Marina South. Together, they will expand cruise capacity and regional connectivity, and strengthen Singapore’s ability to host more and larger MICE events downtown. Gardens by the Bay will expand with Wetlands By The Bay, a new 5-hectare attraction opening in 2028, featuring Singapore’s first indoor-outdoor teamLab experience and over 600 mangroves. Complementing this, Marina Bay Sands has announced plans for a US$8 billion ultra-luxury development, including a 570-suite hotel, 200,000 square feet of premium MICE facilities, and a 15,000-seat arena, setting new benchmarks for world-class hospitality and entertainment.
As a premier gateway to the region, Changi Airport welcomes the opportunity to work with both new and existing airlines seeking to expand in the booming Asia-Pacific region. We invite you to partner with us and be a part of the exciting future of aviation in Asia-Pacific.
