Senegal Airlines seeks help of Turkish Airlines
The President of Senegal, Macky Sall, has courted Turkish Airlines as an investor for struggling carrier Senegal Airlines, ch-aviation reports.
Sall reportedly offered Turkish Airlines control of the national carrier in exchange for it absorbing the airline’s XOF60 billion (USD97.2 million) debt.
Sall also requested Turkish Airlines use their aircraft with Senegal Airlines, which has no aircraft of its own. The national carrier has been wet-leasing an EMB-120 from Transair after returning an A320-200 to Global Aviation Operations.
