Saudi to introduce ticket price guideline
The Saudi cabinet has approved plans for the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) to upgrade the kingdom's airport facilities and increase domestic ticket prices, Arab News has reported.
Under the new plan, GACA is to further develop airport infrastructure, air navigation system, airport security and airport project funding.
After a cabinet meeting to discuss the issue the culture and information minister, Abdul Aziz Khoja, said: “The new guide for ticket fares shall be fixed in line with the mechanism outlined in the report, and that it shall be approved forthwith by GACA’s board of directors.”
The Cabinet instructed GACA to further broaden its ongoing drive in ensuring participation of local and foreign private investors in project implementation and the operation of airports and their related facilities.
