Safi Airways has announced that it has successfully completed its IOSA audit.
Safi Airways said it is committed in maintaining uncompromising international safety standards and is the first Afghan airline to be certified with IOSA (IATA Operational Safety Audit).
Safi Airways also operates in compliance with EASA (European Aviation Safety Agency) requirements and was the first Afghan carrier complying with the strict ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organization) regulations.
Zaidan Khalifat director quality and safety of Safi Airways stated said: “Our current IOSA certification expires in February 2014. The audit was carried out by AO for the two years, February 2014 to February 2016. I am proud that all the relevant departments have done well in the audit and the auditors were pleased with our operating standards and compliance. Today at Safi Airways we operate a state of the art operation with IOSA and EASA conformity. IOSA certification has also enabled Safi Airways to obtain full IATA membership. Being an Afghan carrier it’s a remarkable achievement.”
