Rwanda signs contract with Ethiopian Airlines

Rwandair and Ethiopia sign a fifth freedom agreement granting each carrier the right to operate in the other's airspace.

It had previously been announced that a RwandAir delegation had visited Addis Ababa to tell Ethiopian Airline chiefs that it had selected the carrier as a strategic partner.
The carrier’s can also use the other as a hub to carry passengers to a third country, with the potential to expand on this even further, subject to approval from aviation authorities.
Rwanda has signed 37 previous bilateral air agreements, however this proves as the most significant, with both countries seen as Africa’s leading developmental states.
