Royal Jordanian receive Airbus A320-200 from AWAS
Royal Jordanian has received a new Airbus A320-200 aircraft from Dublin based aircraft lessor, AWAS.
This first A320 will be followed by three additional A320s, then two A321s and, finally, an additional A320 for a total of seven.
Hussein H. Dabbas, president and chief executive of Royal Jordanian, said: “The delivery of this first new aircraft from our extensive order with AWAS demonstrates the successful implementation of our planned modernisation and route expansion programme. AWAS provides Royal Jordanian the flexibility to tailor our fleet to the evolving needs of the market.”
The aircraft introduces new amenities to improve on board passenger comfort and convenience, such as an enhanced entertainment system with more efficient technical features and a wider array of media options.
“AWAS is extremely proud to deliver this new aircraft to our valued customer, Royal Jordanian,” said Ray Sisson, president and chief executive officer of AWAS. “We are very pleased to be able to assist them with their ambitious fleet renewal programme, and will be delivering six additional modern aircraft to Royal Jordanian through 2012.”
