Royal Jordanian adds more Beirut flights and adds Benghazi

Royal Jordanian will increase its total weekly services from Amman to Beirut to 28 with the introduction of its fourth daily flight. And is restarting services to Benghazi, Libya after gap of around 30 years today.

Vice President Marketing, Sales and Services Hussein Dabbas said that the decision to increase the frequency of daily flights was taken in light of the growing demand between Amman and Beirut during the summer season.

He added that the move gives businessmen and investors great flexibility to conduct a round trip on the same day.

Dabbas said that the additional flight leaves Amman at 4 pm and arrives in Beirut at 5 pm; it departs from Beirut at 5:45 pm and arrives in Amman at 6:35 pm. He said that the new service is a perfect choice for tourist groups travelling from Amman to Beirut.

According to Dabbas, Royal Jordanian will also increase its flight frequencies to several destinations on its route network this June, like Jeddah, Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Bahrain, catering to the rising demand of travel between Amman and these cities, particularly in the peak season.

President and CEO Samer Majali said that operating flights to Benghazi comes in light of the growing traffic of Jordanian and Libyan citizens between the two countries.

He added that Royal Jordanian responded to this active travel between Jordan and Libya by also increasing the frequency of flights between Amman and Tripoli from three to four weekly back in April.
