Qatar Airways successful emergency landing in Tehran
A Qatar Airways jet made an emergency landing in Tehran on Wednesday after allegedly suffering an engine failure.
The Airbus A321 with 158 passengers on board was routing from Doha to Budapest when the engine apparently failed and the aircraft diverted to Tehran
Qatar Flight 947 landed safely at the Imam Khomeini International Airport.
Standard emergency procedures were carried out by the Iranian crews and the passengers remained in the terminal until a second Qatar aircraft was dispatched to enable the passengers to continue their journey.
