Qatar Airway announce it has sold its stake in Cargolux

Qatar Airways chief executive officer Akbar Al-Baker has announced the airline has sold its entire 35% stake in freight airline Cargolux.

We are no longer a shareholder in Cargolux as of January 1 this year. We sold the entire stake. I think the Luxembourg government thought that as it is a national carrier, they would like the 100 percent stake."

Al-Baker said: "We sold our stake back to the Luxembourg authorities.

Luxembourg has said it is in talks with a number of potential buyers for the stake.
