Proflight Zambia promotes using domestic carrier

Proflight Zambia marks International Civil Aviation Day by encouraging travellers to “think local” and support their domestic carrier.

The carrier is working to develop Lusaka as a regional hub, to serve travellers from its domestic destinations.
By encouraging passengers to support their local carrier, Proflight hopes to strengthen Zambia’s economy by supporting employment.
The carrier also aims to promote flying domestically, as well as internationally, to help support the region’s economy.
Proflight Director of Government and Industry Affairs Captain Phillip Lemba said: “International Civil Aviation Day is an international celebration of the enormous good that the aviation sector brings to economies and society around the world. Staff at Proflight believe that we have the capacity to serve the region, but we need passenger support to make that a reality.”
The carrier has estimated its contribution to the Zambian economy at approximately US$468 million.
