Proflight Zambia prepares to launch Mbala route

Proflight Zambia is to launch its new route to Mbala around 28 June.

Until the launch, the carrier will continue its three times a week flights from Lusaka to Kasama to serve the Northern Province.
“Having conducted the survey recently, we noticed a growing trend that showed customers’ interest for Mbala. Proflight is confident we will have the necessary regulatory approvals in place by next month to launch our much-anticipated service to Mbala,” said director of Government and Industry Affairs, Captain Philip Lemba.
The new route is in response to a customer satisfaction survey that suggested customers would like service to Mbala.
The carrier will be able to use a bigger aircraft on the route, such as turbo-prop Jetstream 32’s and Jetstream 41’s, after being limited to a 12-seater Caravan due to Kasama’s gravel airstrip.
