Proflight Zambia enthuses importance of tourism in Zambia
Proflight Zambia's Secretary, Chitalu Kabalika, has said investment and innovation in the tourism sector is key to competitiveness and putting Zambia on the tourism map.
Kabalika discussed the importance of tourism at the fifth Zambian International Investment Forum (ZIIF), which was opened by H.E. the President, Hon. Edgar Chagwa Lungu.
“A robust aviation sector is a key component of any country’s tourism sector. At Proflight Zambia was have invested heavily in building the skills of our people, complying with international safety standards and ensuring that our service is efficient and reliable,” said Kabalika.
Tourism contributes more than 2 percent of GDP and 10 percent of formal sector employment.
Zambia currently receives around 946,000 tourists each year, and Proflight Zambia aims to help tourism by serving Livingstone, Mfuwe, Lower Zambezi, Ndola and Solwezi, with flights to Mbala being launched next month.
