Poll: Is The World’s Air Freight Industry Ready To Distribute The COVID-19 Vaccines?

IATA’s global head of cargo Glyn Hughes said the association is working with ICAO and others to ensure that when COVID-19 vaccine vials start to be distributed, they can be done so securely and safely via air transport.

“It is imperative that governments do an assessment of their security capabilities and identify the fewest number of their most secure facilities [for receiving vaccine deliveries],” Hughes said. Vaccine shipments could be targets for sabotage attacks or theft.
