Oman Air to add four new routes

Oman Air will fly to four new destinations in Europe and Asia this year, the company announced on today.

"August marks the commencement of our wide- body fleet acquisition plan when we take delivery of the first of seven brand new Airbus A330 aircraft,” explained chief executive Peter Hill.

"We will operate non-stop flights from our base in Muscat to Frankfurt and Paris in the west and to Colombo and Male [in the east].

"With the introduction of these services, we will be providing a massive increase in capacity from Europe to Oman, designed to boost the country's rapidly growing appeal to the discerning traveller," he added.

The airline will begin its Frankfurt service on September 17 and initially plans to fly there six times a week, while flights to Paris will start on October 11 and a frequency of four flights a week. Its Sri Lanka and Maldives routes will commence from October 12 with four weekly flights offering connections to Paris and Frankfurt as well as a daily London Heathrow service.
