NCAA suspends three pilots for drinking before operating aircraft
The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has suspended three pilots for drinking before operating their flights.
TV360 Nigeria has reported that the NCAA has sent the pilots for psychiatric evaluation before they can rejoin service.
The pilots had their licenses withdrawn, and are now on a three-month suspension.
Pilots are prohibited from drinking alcohol for at least three hours prior to flying.
"It is very clear. They are to be off duty for three months. While on suspension, they are to be made to go through psychiatric evaluation before rejoining the service," said Sam Adurogboye, acting general manager, public relations, NCAA.
