Murtala Mohammed International Airport to be inspected by TSA

The United States based Transportation Security Administration (TSA) is carrying out a security audit of Murtala Mohammed International Airport (MMIA), Lagos.

Transportation Security Specialists (TSS) visited the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority headquarters to discuss the plan with director general, Capt. Muhtar Usman.
The exercise will see the team observing how aviation security measures are put in place at the airport, and provide expertise for improvement.
The implementation of TSA security procedures at Arik Air will also be inspected.
Factors including screening equipment, Airport Contingency Plans (ACP) and Airport Security Programmes (ASP) will be inspected during the five day exercise, as well as airport operations and standards, passenger and baggage screening and cargo.
