Jazeera hiccup on Bahrain-Mashhad route
Jazeera Airways has announced changes to the airline's direct service from Bahrain to the Iranian city of Mashhad in light of new regulations issued by the Iranian government. The service will now be offered with a stopover in Kuwait.
“It is with regret we announce the cancellation of our recently launched Bahrain-Mashhad direct route due to factors that were beyond the control of Jazeera Airways. We realise our customers value us for our efficiency and service, and we are committed to fully compensating our guests for the disruption to their travel plans, and the inconvenience this may have caused,” said Jazeera chief Stefan Pichler. “Bahrain guests can still benefit from our non-stop routes to Kuwait, Dubai and Sana'a with genuinely low cost fares, or to other amazing destinations - via Kuwait.”
The airline said travellers with an existing booking to Mashhad will be offered the choice of: re-accommodation for travel on the same date via Kuwait; a full refund inclusive of all fees and taxes; or a full refund for travel on any outstanding segment of a journey, if re-accommodation cannot be provided.
