Jazeera Airways now largest operator out of Kuwait Airport

Jazeera Airways announced yesterday that after four years of operation, it has become the largest operator out of Kuwait Airport.

The airline said that one out of every four take-offs at Kuwait International Airport was a Jazeera Airways aircraft and one of every four passengers travelling to or from Kuwait has chosen Jazeera Airways.

According to the July 2009 report issued by Kuwait Directorate General for Civil Aviations, Jazeera Airways had the largest number of aircraft movement in the month with 1,834 take-offs and landings, overpassing the second-largest carrier in aircraft movement by four per cent

Jazeera Airways Chairman Marwan Boodai said: "Our performance was the direct result of a network restructure earlier in the year and our continued commitment to growth despite market downturns. Today in less than four years, we operate a fleet of 10 aircraft flying to 29 destinations making us one of the fastest-growing airlines in the Middle East.

"Further new deliveries will come next January and new destinations will be served."
