Gallery: Taiwan's Starlux A350 Flies With Collins’ Elements Business Class Suite

Each of the 26 Elements Business Class suites places a premium on privacy with a door, 48.5-inch walls and a “halo” feature angling inward at the top of the partition for an elevated sense of seclusion. Patented seating comfort and suspension technology ensures relaxation whether upright, reclined or lying flat.

Four First Class suites in the cabin’s front row feature 60-in. walls, a personal wardrobe closet, a 32-in. 4K screen and minibar.

The reverse herringbone layout balances passenger space with seat density. Increases in passenger space lie within the suite itself, where the development team adjusted geometries to optimize areas that affect passenger movement, which in turn dictates comfort.

One of the features of the Elements suite is its doored entry, a reflection of the ongoing trend of offering enhanced privacy to passengers.

Noting the downward trend of First Class cabins and upward trend in Business Class VIP seats, the Collins design team created a smarter approach to the premium capabilities a front row seat can offer.

The result is a hybrid front row suite that achieves either a Business-plus or First Class experience, based on airline preference. The real breakthrough, though, was developing this front row offering without sacrificing seat density.

Starlux made its front row in a full First Class setting, complete with enhanced architecture and amenities. It offers greater privacy via higher suite walls, more passenger space and additional storage, including an amenity drawer, luggage stowage and a coat closet.

Installed on three cabin monuments, the Secant Luminous Panel brings to life unique artwork created for the Starlux brand, further elevating their A350 cabin theme.

Utilizing micro-LED technology, Secant displays custom lighting arrays, video content and imagery, transforming previously blank cabin spaces into a dynamic illuminated canvas. Operators can integrate the panels into the cabin lighting environment, use it as a standalone statement piece or adopt its capabilities for branding and marketing opportunities.

Taiwan-based Starlux Airlines’ Airbus A350 fleet began flying Collins Aerospace’ Elements suite on flights early this year. Elements is a premium Business Class suite that can be further enhanced to a First Class offering without decreasing passenger count. In addition, the new features Collins’ Secant Luminous Panel, which brings to life unique artwork created for the Starlux brand.
