IATA reports high demand growth for Africa

IATA has reported that African carriers have the strongest demand growth globally, with February traffic increasing 12.7% compared to 2015.

Carriers are regaining market shares through rationalising networks and enhancing revenue management systems.
Revenue Passenger Kilometres (RPKs) rose by 8.6%, and available seat kilometres (ASK) increased by 9.6%.
This is the first month since the middle of last year in which capacity growth exceeded demand.
