Graduates celebrate at ATNS ceremony

University of Kwa-Zulu Natal graduates have been honoured at a ceremony for completing an ATNS Engineering Graduate Development Programme (EGDP).

Alicia Pillay, Isipingo, Durban; Nhlakanipho Mnguni, Umlazi, Durban and Ndimphiwe Mangqishi, Umtata, Eastern Cape, are the BSc (Hons) Electronic Engineering & Computer Engineering degree graduates who have been awarded.
The ANS EGDP was set up to enhance recruitment in human resources within the organisation’s Operations Technology Department (OTD).
ATNS CEO, Thabani Mthiyane said: “We are delighted to see a growing interest in careers aviation and continue to put more effort in introducing many more students to the sector through our tertiary institution campaigns. We are well on our way to building the Africa we want.”
In addition to the EGDP graduates, six all female Engineering Learnership students also completed their National Diploma Experiential Training II.
The programme will allow Nondumiso Mhlongo, Letshego Mokhoetsi, Anka Human, Tembisa Madlala, Sinovuyo Mpofu and Zinhle Dladla to obtain a National Diploma in electrical engineering or computer systems.
The ATNS EGDP and Engineering Learnership programmes contribute to the South African government’s National Skills Development Programme.
