Gallery: Startup Northern Pacific Airways Unveils Livery

Post reveal. The airline described the design as being “thoughtfully curated to reflect the natural beauty of the Alaskan wilderness. Dramatic black hues and soft gray tones symbolize the state’s mountainous terrain, ice and snow. The livery’s design includes the “N” letterform that sits behind the Northern Pacific logotype. The windshield features a bold, black masking treatment that adds distinctive charm.”

The aircraft’s winglets pop with a burst of sharp turquoise, accompanying the neutrals to represent the Northern Lights.

Northern Pacific Airways (NP) plans to offer flights between points in the US and East Asia by connecting through Ted Stevens International Airport in Anchorage, Alaska.

Livery designer Edmond Huot said, “The team at Northern Pacific Airways, starting with their CEO, has afforded me the rare opportunity to do good work. This level of autonomy for me is rather sacred since it requires a greater level of trust and respect. In my experience, you can’t put a price on that.”

Anchorage, Alaska-based startup Northern Pacific Airways, which hopes to launch before year-end 2022, unveiled the livery design on a Boeing 757-200 on Jan. 18, in San Bernardino, California, at the Certified Aviation Services hangar, which is the MRO responsible for carrying out the painting of the livery.

Do the photographers not have two good legs to walk to the rear of the aircraft to photograph the most important part of the livery?
