Four killed in Nairobi cargo crash
Four people were killed when a Fokker 50 cargo plane crashed into a building near Nairobi's international airport, early yesterday morning.
The aircraft believed to have been carrying qat - the leafy stimulant banned in much of the world but legal in parts of east Africa and the Middle East - had just left Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for Somalia
All four crewmen were killed when the turboprop hit the building in a commercial and residential subburb of the Kenyan capital. Two guards were injured but the building was unoccupied and there were no other injuries.
