FlySafair shows interest in Mango

FlySafair has expressed interest in buying low cost airline Mango from the government.

The announcement comes after finance minister Pravin Gordhan has said the state should not hold four carriers.
However, the carrier has also stated it is not interested in being an equity partner in South African Airways.
Chief executive Elmar Conradie said that Mango’s fleet and operating model is close to that of FlySafair, and the expansion would provide the potential opportunity to lower fares.
