Ethiopian Airlines first A350 flight flies to Lagos
Ethiopian Airlines' first flight using its new A350 will be to Lagos, taking off on Friday.
The carrier has become the first African airline to take delivery of the aircraft type, which has been designed for passenger comfort and improved performance.
The aircraft will now be taken around the continent on tour, and over to Dubai, before it is assigned a fixed schedule.
“For us, it is always; ‘Africa First’; and that is why we have decided to start our first Airbus A-350 operation to/from the giant of Africa, Nigeria and specifically Lagos on July 2, 2016,” said Tewolde Gebremariam, CEO, Ethiopian Airlines.
The carrier is due to receive its thirteen remaining A350s soon.
