Emirates may slow deliveries next year

Emirates may slow down deliveries of A380s and 777s next year, its President Time Clark said on Tuesday.

“We are looking at slowing some… maybe next year,” Tim Clark said on the sidelines of IATA’s AGM in Kuala Lumpur, reported Reuters.

Emirates expect to receive about 10 aircraft a year and asked if this may be reduced to five next year, Clark said: “Maybe”.

He did say that the airline had the funding in place for aircraft ordered until mid-2010. He said Emirates did not expect to receive any government funding.
